Swim Accomplishments

Sophomore Year: Tyler continued training distance freestyle with a new batch of freshmen and along with Jordan Hoenig, helped create this website. He was also named the SCAC Swimmer of the Week in January, 2011.

Freshman Year: Tyler transitioned from sprinting to longer distance freestyle during his freshman year and competed in the DePauw Invitational and SCAC Conference. He also earned SCAC Academic Honor Roll.

Prep: Tyler swam at Evansville North High School, where he earned 4 varsity letters, 2 Kiwanis Awards, and was captain his senior year. He also holds part of his school's 200 freestyle and 400 freestyle relay records.

Outside the Pool:

Tyler is active in the Information Technology Associates Program (ITAP), where he solves problems. He is also an active member of Beta Theta Pi fraternity and coordinates the swim team's community service projects.

Personal:

Born December 4 to Mark and Diane Perfitt, Tyler is the oldest of 3 brothers. He is also a Lilly Scholar.
